CastGrabber Develops Podcast-grabbing Network Accessory for Personal Media Players
PITTSBURGH, PA - NOVEMBER 20, 2006 CastGrabber, LLC announced today that it will unveil its new product, CastGrabber, at the 2007 CES show in Las Vegas Nevada. CastGrabber is the company’s new, unique device that autonomously downloads Podcasts onto non-iPod™ Personal Media Players, without the need for a Personal Computer. The number of audio and video Podcasts downloaded every year is approximately 177 million.
Using the simple Microsoft Personal Media Player plug-in provided by CastGrabber, LLC, the user can easily configure the CastGrabber to subscribe to Podcasts as well as synchronize media files between their Personal Computer and their non-iPod Personal Media Player.
CastGrabber, LLC plans an entire product line of hardware accessories for Personal Media Players which will roll out beginning in mid 2007. Currently, there are few Personal Media Player manufacturers that provide a means of downloading Podcasts directly to the PMP's; the consumers need to go through a series of time consuming tedious steps each time they wish to put Podcasts on their Portable Media Players. Since CastGrabber takes ease of use beyond anything currently available and facilitates direct downloading without the need for a Personal Computer, consumers are likely to download more content and find their Portable Media Players more valuable.
